Generation, propagation, and detection of squeezed state light

Abstract

Squeezed-state light is a radiation field without a classical analog whose field-quadrature noise is optically phase sensitive with a minimum level below that of a coherent state. A massive and growing body of theory concerning the generation, propagation, detection, and application of such light is presently available.
