Abstract

The dependence of output spectra from a colliding pulse mode-locking (CPM) dye laser on the laser parameters has been studied experimentally in detail. The spectral shape (Fig. 1) showed a broad wing on the short-wavelength side or the long-wavelength side, respectively, when the laser parameters, such as concentration of DODCI, pump rate, and intensity in the dye stream, were changed. Especially when changing the position of the DODCI jet in the cavity the asymmetry of the spectral shape obviously changed. The relationship between the spectral width from the CPM dye laser and the intracavity intensity was investigated experimentally.
