Abstract

The electron-beam pumped KrF lasers have been studied intensively because of its capability of generating high power with high efficiency. Because the performance of a laser system is essentially limited by the characteristics of the laser medium, we have carried out quantitative investigations of the parametric dependences of the characteristic constants for amplification, and a mass of data base has been established allowing us to estimate the performance of a laser if its design parameters are given.
