Abstract

Coherent lidar (Cl) using heterodyne detection is actively investigated in the field of the velocity measurement of wind and flying vehicles. Especially the CO2-laser coherent lidar exhibited a great progress, in CL, the spatial resolution is obtained by a pulsed or FM-CW CL method.
