Abstract

Two-color resonantly enhanced multiphoton ionization is used to investigate the spectroscopy and decay dynamics of autoionizing states of diatomic molecules. Optical-optical double resonance excitation and optical-UV double resonance excitation are used to prepare selectively the excited states for study, and ion mass analysis, electron kinetic energy analysis, and/or fluorescence analysis are used to monitor the excited states and their decay products.
