Microwave multiphoton excitation and ionization

Abstract

Virtually all single electron multiphoton phenomena can be observed in a quantitative fashion using Rydberg atoms and microwave fields. Experimental results illustrating the connection of those multiphoton processes to a field point of view are presented.
