Balanced phase matching in segmented KTiOPO4 waveguides

Abstract

Several techniques have been demonstrated or proposed to achieve efficient phase matching for both waveguide and bulk crystal nonlinear optical applications. The most common of these are angle and temperature tuning,1 quasiphase matching,2 periodic index modulation,3 and internal reflection.2
