Abstract

We present the recent results of soft x-ray laser experiments conducted at the LF12 Laser Facility of Shanghai Institute of Optics & Fine Mechanics. In particular, these results include what we believe to be the first observation of amplification of spontaneous emission on 5f—3d, 5d—3p, 6f—3d, and 6d3p transitions in Li-like Si11+ ions at 88.84, 87.28, 75.83, and 74.64 Å at a much lower intensity of the driving laser. In addition, also presented are the new results in the aspects of energy level calculation of Li-like isoelectronic sequence Si XII—Ni XXVI ions, Na-like copper x-ray laser, plasma characteristics of laser irradiated half-cylindrical-groove targets, nonunlformities and turbulence effects caused by plasma jets, etc.
