Abstract

Four-wave mixing processes in atomic nonlinear media have been investigated extensively in the past ten years. Molecules with their dense rovibronic structures of high lying Rydberg and valence states also seem to be attractive candidates for efficient VUV /XUV generation. Described here are experiments of four-wave sum frequency mixing in NO and CO.
