Abstract

Bound electronic nonlinearities in the transparency region of optical solids are of great importance in applications such as nonlinear propagation in fibers and waveguides, fast optical switching, and optical limiting. Recently a significant dispersion of the electronic Kerr effect n2 was observed within the two-photon absorption (2PA) band in ZnSe.
