Abstract

The Nd:YAG laser pumped optical parametric oscillator (OPO) of Beta-Barium-Borate (BBO) is a powerful all-solid-state source of tunable coherent radiation.[1] The tuning range covers the spectral region from the ultraviolet (300 nm) to the near infrared (3000 nm). The internal conversion efficiency is typically 40-60%, the total output pulse energies are as high as 150 mJ.
