Abstract

We have recently reported[1,2] studies of laser-induced ionization of five noble gases with 1 ps, linearly polarized, 1μm laser light. In that work, the ionization was found to occur entirely within tunneling regime. We present results of the effects of polarization, fill pressure, and pulse duration on the ionization processs.
