Abstract

Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in P2O5 doped silica fibers has enabled high efficiency frequency conversion of 1.06 μm pump pulses with nanosecond[1] and picosecond[2] durations. However, so far no analysis has been carried out, on SRS in P2O5 doped fibers, utilizing pump radiation propagating in the regime of negative group velocity dispersion.
