Abstract
Linear stability analysis of the stationary solutions is presented for the ring cavity with saturable two-level atoms. The round trip time of the cavity d is here equal to the atomic relaxation time T1. The pump beam is supposed to be an undepleted plane-wave, while the unstable generated fields are expanded on the basis of spatio-temporal Fourier modes. The optics consists of a double set of two confocal lenses, which allows to include diffraction effects inside and outside the medium.
