Abstract

Numerical solutions of the semiconductor Bloch equations[1,2] are reported for one- and two-pulse excitation at the exciton resonance. The equations describe the dynamical behavior of the light-induced polarization and carrier population in semiconductors, including the Coulomb-interaction and the excitation-induced many-body effects in the Hartree-Fock approximation.
