Abstract

In this work, we describe experiments performed on solutions containing 1 × 10-3 M to 5 × 10-3 M rhodamine 640 dye in methanol solutions containing 250 nm TiO2 (rutile).1,2 Adsorption measurements indicate that less than 1% of the dye can be accommodated on the particles ruling out surface area effects. Further the size parameter of these particles is too small to allow for any morphological resonances.
