Dressed atoms, dressed fields, and long propagation distances for EIT

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We will describe the properties of dressed-fieid pulses in the context of electromagnetically-induced transparency (EIT). We will examine the case for linear vs. exponential attenuation, show analytic formulas for dressed-field multi-color solitons, and present numerical results for propagation of coordinated pulse-pairs over significant distances in three-level media
