Abstract
There has been renewed interest in the lifetimes of the excited states of alkali atoms due in part to their importance in the interpretation of experiments such as parity violation in heavy atoms. Theorists have improved their calculations of such levels to <1% uncertainty, while experimentalists are presently working in the same regime.1·2
