Abstract

Recently, Bennett et al.1 have proposed a scheme for "teleporting" a quantum state by splitting it up into a purely classical channel and a purely quantum channel. In this paper we propose a specific implementation of this teleportation scheme that is based on cavity quantum electrodynamics. The proposed experimental arrangement (Fig. 1) is similar to that described by Brune et al.2 and may therefore be realizable in practice.
