Abstract

The investigation of the coherent dynamics of optically excited wavepackets in high-quality single quantum-wells, coupled double quantum-wells and superlattice systems has found considerable interest during the last years. The study of the dynamics of the macroscopic polarizations associated with these wavepackets is both of fundamental and technological interest and can be even performed at room temperature [1].
