Abstract

The persistence of Stokes and anti-Stokes real space charge transfer over thick (up to 1500 Å) barriers in GaAs/AlxGa1−x As asymmetric double quantum wells (ADQW) at low temperature and low excitation limits has remained unsolved [1]. Here, we first show that this “leak “ is universal by performing cw PLE and time-resolved PL experiments on samples grown by five MBE machines and two MOCVD machines, all showing significant leak in the form of strong NW features in the PLE of the WW PL.
