Abstract

Tailoring of photorefractive crystals for special applications like phase conjugation, image recognition, laser beam clean-up etc. requires detailed knowledge of the light-induced charge transport processes. The understanding of the microscopic origin of, eg photo and dark conductivity is required for a successful modelling and optimisation of these materials.
