Abstract
The dynamics of formyl radical (HCO) formation from the photodissociation of formaldehyde have been investigated. Jet-cooled formaldehyde has been excited with rotational resolution into the first excited singlet electronic state Ã(1A2). The ensuing HCO radical product has been probed, also at high resolution, by laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy.
