Two-photon Raman bistability in a resonantly pumped He-Ne laser

Abstract

We have recently demonstrated [1] that 10 new Raman laser emission wavelengths can be generated when a pump laser, tuned to a transition between the neon 1 s and 2p manifolds, is coupled into the cavity of an operating commercial helium-neon laser.
