Abstract
The giant linear and photo-induced Faraday rotation angles close to the band-edge of bulk1 and auantum-confmed2 semimagnetic semiconductors have recently received much attention. Exploiting the photo-induced changes in applications in nonlinear signal processing at 1.55 μm. To study nonlinear optical effects in combination with giant Faraday rotation angles, a semimagnetic semicondu ctor with its band-edge around 1.55 μm is required.
