Abstract

We investigate the possibility of a test of quantum mechanical predictions against those of local realistic theories, which is more rigorous than the traditional Bell inequality tests. An alternative was proposed by Greenberger, Home, and Zeiiinger (GHZ). This is an all-or-nothing test that predicts distinct differences between three particle spin correlation functions for local hidden variable, and quantum theories. This experiment has not been tried yet, and there are difficulties in obtaining suitable physical systems with high detector efficiency.
