Abstract

Protein-nucleic acid complexes are the main players of the processes involved in the control of gene expression and regulation Direct and powerful approaches for studying these interactions are footprinting and protein-DNA crosslinking formation Protein-DNA crosslinking detects the presence of a protein on a given DNA sequence, while footprinting allows to study the mechanism of protein-DNA interactions.
