Abstract

In this presentation three rather different types of fibre optic probe for medical applications are presented:

• Temperature profile monitoring based upon a multiplexed array of fibre Bragg gratings (FBG)

• FBG ultrasonic probe,

• Miniature pressure sensor based on a Fizeau cavity.
