Abstract
The conventional criterion of resolution of an optical system was formulated at the end of the last century by Abbe and Rayleigh and is determined by the spatial-frequency band of the system, limited by the finite size of the optical system pupil. “Super-resolution” is an attempt to restore the object details beyond the Rayleigh limit [1] or equivalently to recover the object spectrum outside the band of the system.
