Abstract
Liquid hydrogen is the simplest molecular-liquid known as a quantum liquid. Unique feature of liquid hydrogen is that H2 molecules consisting of the liquid have well-defined vibrational and rotational quantum states as free molecules in the gas phase. Here, we treat the liquid hydrogen as a nonlinear Raman medium and carry out stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) experiments in the droplet [1]. We show that the cavity Q-value exceeding 109 is readily obtainable. We demonstrate also that the SRS generates many multiple-order sideband series through vibrational and rotational coherences covering whole ultraviolet-visible spectral region from 200 nm to 1,000 nm, leading to a super wideband optical comb generator.
