Cancellation effects of different scattering channels on linewidth of intersubband transitions in quantum wells

Abstract

We found a strong cancellation between the electron-electron scattering and electron-LO phonon scattering, leading to a narrower linewidth for the intersubband transitions than the sum of the linewidths when each individual scattering is included separately.
