Integration of Electromagnetically Induced Transparency in Alkali Atoms on a Semiconductor Chip

Abstract

EIT in atomic vapor can be integrated on a semiconductor chip using antiresonant reflecting optical (ARROW) waveguides. We present theoretical and experimental results on design and fabrication of these integrated structures and discuss potential applications.
