An optical Controlled-NOT gate in a single quantum dot

Abstract

A Controlled-NOT gate based on two-orthogonally polarized excitons confined in a single quantum dot is demonstrated. Performance of such a gate is discussed in terms of truth table, fidelity and entanglement.
