Self-guided propagation of fs UV laser pulses and efficient harmonic generation in low pressure Argon

Abstract

An important enhancement in harmonics production has been observed during the self-guided propagation of femtosecond ultraviolet laser pulses (248nm, 450fs) in Argon, attributed to quasi-phase locking in the filamented pulse.
