Directing optical emission using a Yagi-Uda antenna composed of a finite linear array of gold nanorods

Abstract

We present the realization of a Yagi-Uda antenna array for the optical frequency regime made of gold nanorods. The results suggest that the optical antenna can be used to direct the emission of light.
