Negative Permeability Using Arrays of Aperiodic Silver Nanoclusters

Abstract

We present a metamaterial architecture that exhibits a strong magnetic resonance leading to negative effective permeability. The building blocks are aperiodic silver nanowire clusters that generate stronger magnetic resonance than their periodic counterparts.
