Abstract

Formation of dissipative solitons (DS) in a normal-dispersion cavity of passively mode-locked fiber laser oscillators shows a great promise for generation of stable high-energy femtosecond pulse trains [1]. All-fiber design of the laser cavity greatly improves a stability of the laser, see e.g. [2], but increasing energy of the DS pulses at lengthening of a laser cavity is limited by a onset of stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) converting part of DS energy to the Stokes-shifted wavelengths [3]. A natural question arises about stability of the dissipative solitons in a fiber oscillator at presence of strong SRS effect.
