Optimizing microcamera aperture in gigapixel monocentric multiscale cameras

Abstract

Multiscale designs divide the imaging task between a simple objective and many complex microcameras. We study imaging quality as the microcamera aperture size varies from 0.375 to 36 mm with 2 and 50 gigapixel objectives.
