Abstract

The present paper proposes an integrated spectral imaging system using an active spectral illumination for exact color image production. We consider exact and fast production of color images onto a display. In a previous paper, we presented a spectral imaging technology by synchronizing a programmable light source and a high-speed monochrome camera, which has effective application to CIE-XYZ tristimulus imager (S. Tominaga et al., JOSA 2012). However, even when we display the color images captured by the CIE-XYZ imager on to a display device, we need the traditional computation process of converting the XYZ values to the display RGB values. This process can be generally time-consuming, so that the integration system has difficulty in fast production of the color images in the case of objects moving.
