Development of a Lidar Technique for Profiling Optical Turbulence

Abstract

A fielded lidar system for remote sensing of the strength of atmospheric refractive turbulence is described, along with the history of development of the instrument and the data analysis algorithms. An example of measured turbulence data is presented.
