Computational Color Imaging with Enhanced Light Sensitivity based on a Microstructured Diffractive Element Array

Abstract

Replacing color filters by a diffractive optic, a new color imaging system is demonstrated with 2.67 times light sensitivity enhancement. Computational effort based on regularization is exploited in color reconstruction. Hyper-spectral imaging is also possible.
