Trace Aqueous Lead Sensing Using Silicon-on-Insulator Ring Resonators

Abstract

Trace level lead Pb(II) to parts per billion (ppb) in water was detected using silicon-on-insulator (SOI) microresonators. The SOI microchips were coated with tetrasulfide functionalized mesoporous silicates.
