Laser Speckle Mitigation Through Substandard Compressive Sensing

Abstract

We alleviate speckle effects by iteratively reconstructing a single image using compressive sensing. At suboptimal sample rates, reconstructions decorrelate to allow for speckle averaging. Results indicate potential reduction in speckle contrast by up to 30%.
