Phase contrast imaging with meta-optics

Abstract

The visualization of transparent objects in real-time using ultracompact optical systems remains an ongoing challenge. Here we present metasurfaces that convert phase variations in a wavefield to intensity to create a pseudo-3D image of a phase object.
