Abstract

Holographic projectors using phase-only spatial light modulators (SLMs) have been developed. Phase-only SLMs cannot modulate the amplitude of the light, which degrades the quality of the projected image. This study overcomes this drawback by using two techniques: a deep learning approach and binary amplitude coding, one of complex amplitude encoding. The random phase-free method is also used to project lens-less zoomed images.
