Abstract
HD DVD-ROM format is 60–70% disc manufacturing tolerance compared with DVD-ROM format. Memory-Tech has developed cost-efficient and reliable process for the HD DVD-ROM disc manufacturing process overcoming many technical challenges of mastering, injection molding and bonding. The paper will describe technical details of process, mastering/replication machines and raw materials that Memory-Tech has been developing for HD DVD-ROM mass production. Also the paper describes details of the HD DVD disc characteristics measurement system developed by Memory-Tech as well as complete encoding and authoring process for HD DVD software production.
