Improvement of pulse temporal compression by graphene-silicon hybrid waveguide

Abstract

We study pulse evolution in two-stage temporal compression by graphene-silicon hybrid waveguide. By the utilization of saturable absorption and intensity-dependent refraction of graphene, a pedestal-free pulse with short duration and a sharp peak is achieved.
