Abstract

Terahertz (THz) interferometer is a very convenience tools to calibrate a THz continuous wave (cw) source due to its simple structure and high accuracy1, 2. In this paper, a THz interferometer was built by using a Gunn diode as a source and Schottky diode as a detector. The measured spectrum of the Gunn diode is shown in Fig.1. It can be seen that the source is with the peak frequency of 0.1725 THz and the bandwidth of about 20 GHz. The results agree with those calibrated by the manufacturers.
