Abstract

Terahertz time-domain spectroscopy was used to detect the adulteration of sodium hexametaphosphate (SHMP) in bovine chondroitin sulfate (BCS). A mass ratio of SHMP/BCS as low as 1/15 could be effectively identified using this technique.
