Abstract

Terahertz radar images are usually of higher resolution than those with microwave or lower bands. However, some desired features which are valuable for subsequent recognition tasks, such as the contour of the target, are still not prominent enough in images formed by traditional Fourier-transform-based imaging methods. In this paper, a region-based regularization method was introduced to terahertz turntable imaging to enhance the contour-like features of the target. A series of experiments were carried out and the results were compared with those obtained by traditional imaging algorithms. The effectiveness of the proposed method can be clearly seen.
